Many observers thought that President trump was about to take control of the Minneapolis protests and invoke the Insurrection Act. Instead Washington announced what appears to be a capitulation. Has he really given in to the likes of Tim Walz and Jacob Frey.  Is something going on that we’re not privy to or is it a weakness? President Trump appears to be finalizing a deal on the acquisition of Greenland and it would appear that the northeastern portion of the United States, almost as a salute to the momentous agreement, is going to get a taste of Greenland’s weather this weekend. Supermarkets and gas stations are already busy as we lead in to this monster storm. There are reports of empty shelves and low stocks and it’s not even Saturday. President Trump didn’t simply speak at the World Economic Forum, he took complete control of it’s agenda. He dominated all aspects of the conference. He scolded world leaders for allowing their countries to disintegrate and for their people to suffer. And what he said was what had to be said. And he reminded them that they’re all not equal. The United States isn’t just another member of the world community. It’s a super power…actually the strongest of the super powers. It is not to be trivialized. It was an amazing meeting. After an aborted  start due to mechanical problems with Air Force One, President Trump has flown to Davos Switzerland to confront the global opposition. The world is all aflutter regarding his stance on Greenland and it would seem that, unlike past Presidents, Trump has decided that this time around, we will complete the acquisition. And Trump has made it clear that, we’ve always been there for NATO, NATO should be there for us now. Yet they are not. This could lead to a whole new global realignment. Fuel and food prices are down…our borders are secure and he’s help end numerous wars. But with all that he’s done, there are still those who want him gone. Protesters keep protesting in Minneapolis but,as of Saturday morning, still no Insurrection Act. President Trump says that he’s considering using it but many are asking why the delay?
