First there were 10 scientists missing or dead…then 11 and then quickly 12. Now they think the number is 13 and they wouldn’t be surprised if that figure grows. So is it a conspiracy or a coincidence? Is there some nefarious organization killing and kidnapping our best and brightest? And why is it that authorities are always quick to minimize and dismiss these cases…long before they could possibly have all the facts? We talk about this and more on another busy program. Tuesday, Virginia passed a controversial referendum on redistricting. It would have massively changed the representation landscape in Washington. Democrats did everything but dance in the streets. The House minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries, wasted little time gloating over the victory…telling all who would listen, that it was a precursor of things to come. Well…what came yesterday was a judge ruling…saying that the entire process was unconstitutional. That’s right…withing a day…a court through the results of that election out. Trump has extended the cease fire again and some people are saying that he is being played. The Iranians say that they didn’t ask for an extension. They even have said that Trump did this because he’s losing. The Iranians have no Navy, no Air Force and their Army has been minimized…yet ‘we’re’ losing. But there’s an element on the left that seems to be cheering for the other side. Case in point, Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut. The Iranians lied about 26 ships slipping through our embargo…and Murphy enthusiastically responded “Awesome!”. The temporary ceasefire ends today. Now the question is…will Iran agree to a permanent end to this war or will it pick up where it left off two weeks ago? Many feel that those seeking peace in Iran are not the faction with the guns. There seems to be a Kamikaze element in that country that is willing to fight to the very end…no matter who it hurts. And why did TIm Walz go to Spain and bad mouth our president and our country? Hasn’t he got enough problems in his home state? Shouldn’t he be concentrating on fixing those? An Iranian ship decided to run the blockade this weekend and the US Navy immediately demonstrated to them that it was a very bad decision. They didn’t shoot across their bow…why waste the ammunition…no…they literally told them to evacuate their engine room and then they placed a few rounds into their engines. Talk about precision. This has to make the leaders think twice about their own safety. Is there anywhere safe for them? President Trump was delighted to announce that Iran had agreed to ‘everything’…but then it all turned to mush within hours. There was a report that an Iranian vessel had attacked a ship that was crossing the newly opened Strait. I think the President was told that it was a done deal…but-you have to wonder-who is really in charge in that country? Are there multiple factions vying for power? It sure seems that way. This new American Pope is doing his best to distance himself from American international policy and, more specifically, our President. He's straying into areas that few Popes have entered before and he doesn't appear to be slowing down. And he seems to be telling Europeans to welcome the Muslim migration...to get used to it. If that's the case...this would be a first because, historically, Popes have been leery of this. We talk about this and much more on another busy Friday program. The Senate tried to limit the President’s war powers yesterday…for the fourth time…and, once again, they failed. If they had been successful, this would have been the first time a President was restricted this way. To nobody’s surprise, Republican Rand Paul crossed the aisle and voted with the Democrats. The man’s disdain for Trump is completely uncontrollable. If Trump discovered the cure for cancer and need the Senate to approve it, Paul would vote against it. And you have to ask yourself, why stop a president who is winning the war? That make no sense at all. The Swalwell situation is terrible…good people will agree that he was a predator that deserves what he gets. But should it be the biggest story out there?
