President Trump appears to be finalizing a deal on the acquisition of Greenland and it would appear that the northeastern portion of the United States, almost as a salute to the momentous agreement, is going to get a taste of Greenland’s weather this weekend. Supermarkets and gas stations are already busy as we lead in to this monster storm. There are reports of empty shelves and low stocks and it’s not even Saturday. President Trump didn’t simply speak at the World Economic Forum, he took complete control of it’s agenda. He dominated all aspects of the conference. He scolded world leaders for allowing their countries to disintegrate and for their people to suffer. And what he said was what had to be said. And he reminded them that they’re all not equal. The United States isn’t just another member of the world community. It’s a super power…actually the strongest of the super powers. It is not to be trivialized. It was an amazing meeting. After an aborted  start due to mechanical problems with Air Force One, President Trump has flown to Davos Switzerland to confront the global opposition. The world is all aflutter regarding his stance on Greenland and it would seem that, unlike past Presidents, Trump has decided that this time around, we will complete the acquisition. And Trump has made it clear that, we’ve always been there for NATO, NATO should be there for us now. Yet they are not. This could lead to a whole new global realignment. Protesters keep protesting in Minneapolis but,as of Saturday morning, still no Insurrection Act. President Trump says that he’s considering using it but many are asking why the delay? Worse yet, a Biden Judge has now decided to interfere with ICE agents and the ways that they can handle these instigators. It’s another busy program. What does President Trump do when Tim Walz  and Jacob Frey openly defy the federal government? The protests are only getting bigger and more unruly. Today the President publicly stated that he was going to invoke the Insurrection Act if the out of control protests don’t stop. The odds of that happening are slim. So…it looks like we’re about to deal with the protesters in Minnesota and the Iranian regime and the situation in Greenland…all at the same time. We live in a time of double standards. Can a country, based on one set of laws, exist with two completely different ways to interpret those laws? Were those laws created by our founding fathers for variable interpretation? We doubt it. But there’s a faction in our country that’s pushing this and having some success. Why? Because when these decisions have be challenged, left leaning judges have warped the laws to justify them. Case in point…Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro are found in contempt of Congress and find themselves in prison for four months. Liberals are found in contempt…ie. Eric Holder…and nothing happens. There’s a lot of unrest in our world. There’s the protests in our country. It would appear that things are only going to get worse before there’s a resolution. And then there are nationwide demonstrations in Iran. It seems that regime change there is an inevitability. Of course the war in the Ukraine continues.
