The current director, Sean Curran, did a sudden and unexpected about-face on her security status this past week, and we shouldn’t be surprised. The surprise should have been that she was on the verge of getting one in the first place. Her handling of the near assassination of President Trump in Butler, PA, should have disqualified her instantly. We learned, in a recent report, that the Secret Service were aware of a threat that something might happen in Butler as long as ten days before the attempt.
