The state visit to China is over and the President is on his way back to the US. Did you see President Trump’s facial expression as he entered the Great Hall banquet room in China today? He looked like he had just smelled something bad. Is it a indication of how the meetings are really going? Yesterday, at the ‘Welcoming Ceremony’, the two men looked genuinely happy. They were relaxed and enjoying the moment. Efforts to secure a broader peace deal between the United States and Iran are increasingly being complicated by the growing influence of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Do you think that we’re on the verge of an end to the Iranian war or is this simply a ‘chess move’ on the part of our president? Does the President really think that these people can be trusted. Trump says that we’re close to ‘a deal’ with Iran… but does it achieve all of our initial objectives or have we caved? And will the regime still be in place when the dust settles on this conflict. If they are, then how can we consider that ‘a win’. Won’t they just lick their wounds, reconstitute and come back stronger and more determined? Then again…might this ‘proposal’ be a ruse on the part of the President?
