VOA reaches over 300 million people, all around the globe. For many, it’s their only source of truthful information. Some expected her to be named Ambassador to Mexico but that didn’t happen. Many, including this program, felt that the Mexican job was a bad fit for Kari. Obviously, President Trump agreed. But she seems to be delighted with the VOA opportunity. We talk about it.

But Trump’s future daughter-in-law, Kim Guilfoyle, will be the US Ambassador to Greece. I wonder how Donald Jr. feels about that? Welcome to the Tuesday Edition of “It's Another Day with Jim and Bill”-EPISODE 796-We’re in a very busy news cycle. The healthcare CEO assassin was captured in a Western PA McDonalds yesterday afternoon. The shooter was identified as Luigi Nicholas Mangione of Towson, MD. He’s an honor student and graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a B.S.E. and an M.S.E... He comes from a well-to-do family in the Baltimore area and everyone who knows the guy can’t believe that he’d do such a thing. But isn’t that how it always is? And then there’s the Daniel Penny case. He does the right thing and the system tries to put him in jail. The good news is that he was acquitted yesterday. There’s so much wrong with our justice system these days…it’s nice to see it do the right thing, for a change. And that’s only a sampling. There’s so much more going on in our world…and we talk about a lot of it on today’s program. Thank you for tuning in.

Welcome to the Monday Edition of “It's Another Day with Jim and Bill”-EPISODE 795-Over the weekend, incoming President Donald Trump said that the Syrian debacle is not our war. We have no business being a part of it.  So what did Joe do? Why Trump’s message was a cue for Biden to immediately bomb it back to the stone age. Mind you, Israel was already bombing key military sites because they might be used as staging areas for attacks into their country. But why we were there is beyond reason. The current administration said that they feared that the targets they hit might be used by Isis. But many observers feel that they simply trying to make things difficult for the incoming administration. They’re not doing it to help the Syrians…they’re doing it to hurt Trump. We talk about it on today’s program.

Shouldn’t a president be able to pick the people he’ll be working with?  Plus…President Trump is flying to Paris this weekend for the grand re-opening of Notre Dame Cathedral.  Isn’t he putting himself at risk by attending such a public event in a foreign country? Why was 50-year-old United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson targeted for the hit? From all that we’ve learned so far, he was an intelligent, well-liked man…at the beginning of, what appeared to be, a promising, successful career. The video recording of the murder shows a controlled and deliberate assassin, fulfilling his ‘contract’. This didn’t look like the work of a novice. Plus…yesterday the media was saying that Pete Hegseth’s nomination is ‘toast’. Now…one day later…the media is reporting that his nomination looks good. What a difference a day makes.
