The plan, supported by Qatar and Egypt, didn’t talk about releasing the hostages…a crucial element to any acceptable Israeli peace deal. So what’s next? After rejecting the proposal, Israel immediately attacked Rafah. They believe many of the Hamas leaders are hunkered down there and if they can bring that city to its knees, they can quickly end the war.
